Gingerbread House
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup sour milk or buttermilk
- 1/2 tsp vinegar
- 3 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ginger
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Mix and chill before rolling
Frosting
- 2 egg whites
- 2 1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
Mix and heat vigorously
