Ann and Emily Bardeen were discussing their father’s house on the corner of Lafayette and Cherry Streets. They seemed to be saying that they were not fond of the structure and pointed out that the Christensen house was a “perfect layout” of rooms. Emily said she kept that in her mind when thinking about a house. Then Ann said that she has a very strong memory of the house always smelling of coffee and she thought that was such a wonderful smell that she became a “heavy” coffee drinker and attributes it to our family. (Her father drank pop, her mother drank tea).
