- 1 1/4 scant cups sugar
- 1/2 cup crisco
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 cup flour
- 2 1/2 tsp soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups All bran
- 1 cup 40% bran 2 cakes
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 cup buttermilk
- Cream sugar and crisco. Add eggs and beat. Sift 2 1/2 cup flour, 2 1/2 tsp soda, 1/2 tsp salt.
- Pour boiling water overall bran and bran 2 cakes. Add buttermilk.
Mix (1) + (2) alternately.
Pour into muffin pans and bake 15 – 20 minutes at 400 degrees F
Makes about 30 muffins.
